Because the Zero Kick Hammer weighs less than the stock bolt, it moves back and forth slightly quicker inside the gun. This movement is typically referred to a marker's mechanical dwell. This means it takes less time from the instant you pull the trigger to the time your ball hits it's target. This means your opponent will have less time to avoid your oncoming ball.
